Be a Muslim who avoid ifrath and tafrith. Ifrath means extreme in religious matter and tafrith means be too liberal and take everything in religion in easy way.
Be the one who is moderate which in Islam moderation consists of khiyar and 'udul. Khiyar means do at the level best and 'just'.
Don't be too extreme in religion as if it is only applicable to the superpower and illogic. For example, a story of a man who can perform solat an-nawafil for 1,000 rakaat in a single night in which is illogic. If he managed to do that for sure the performance is without taking care all the conditions (tamakninah).
It is also happened in zikr which the soul of zikr in praising Allah is detached and the remaining of the purpose is only to get the worldy rewards and materials.
